But it also has enough engineered vertical compliance to give Addict 20 a delightfully supple ride quality. And paired with a more relaxed, upright geometry and new 38mm tire clearance, Addict 20 becomes a highly versatile road bike. It blurs the line between performance road and all-road riding.
On the ride, Addict 20 responds equally well to your soft-pedal Sunday legs or your harder revs. It’s just as happy animating a group ride or chasing a KOM. It’s quick and responsive under load, yet stays stable at low cadence and low power. It even stays composed carving a hairpin down a canyon road. In short, it loves every ride just as much as you do.
Scott Addict 20 goes where you go, how you go, and as long as you go. And if you go too long, the frame-stowed Save-The-Day Kit comes to the rescue. It unpacks a tube, tire lever, and mini-pump. So Addict 20 comes equipped with Shimano’s mid-tier workhorse Ultegra Di2 electric 2x groupset. Plus, it runs fast and stable Fulcrum Wind 42 disc wheels on Schwalbe ONE tires—so you’re set for going long at any speed you choose.

The Addict now clears tires up to 38mm, opening the door to new terrain. As a result, you get more comfort, more grip, and more versatility—so you’re ready for any adventure, no matter the road surface.

So we built the Addict for all-day comfort. By reshaping the seat tube and refining the tube profiles, we’ve given it 25% more compliance than the race-focused Addict RC.
Geometry
Also, a relaxed geometry boosts comfort on every ride. The Addict features increased stack and reduced reach, so you get an easy, natural fit. In fact, riding with 0mm spacers on the Addict matches 35mm spacers on the Addict RC, giving you a more upright and enjoyable position.
Carbon Technology HMX-HMF
In fact, the Addict comes in two proven carbon layups. The HMF version strikes the perfect balance between lightweight construction, stiffness, and comfort, while the HMX version pushes performance even further. Because it uses higher-modulus carbon fibres, we can remove material without compromising strength—so you get an even lighter frame that still delivers the ride characteristics you expect.
