Scott Foil RC Ultimate Frameset – Aero, Lightweight, Comfort
Aero, lightweight or comfort – choose three. The Scott Foil RC Ultimate Frameset gives you the frame, fork and aero seatpost from Scott’s fastest road bike. So you can build it with the groupset, wheels and cockpit you choose. Scott built the Foil RC for WorldTour sprinters, attackers and breakaway riders. In fact, Scott calls it the fastest road bike it has ever produced.
This 2027 frameset uses Scott’s top-level HMX SL carbon and comes in Piano Black with carbon black details. Plus, it has a claimed weight of about 1.92 kg. F01 Airfoil Technology
Scott’s own F01 technology shapes every tube and junction for the best aerodynamic design. So, after computer simulation and wind tunnel testing, Scott calls it the fastest road bike it has ever made.
Syncros Duncan SL Aero CFT
One standout feature is the patented Syncros Duncan SL Aero CFT seatpost. First, it stops rough roads from beating you up. More importantly, it keeps you planted on light gravel or cobbles. As a result, you keep putting full power through the pedals instead of bouncing out of the saddle. The post has two parts. So when the road gets bumpy, the load-bearing carbon front piece flexes and keeps you seated.
Also available separately, the Syncros Campbell 20 Aero iL Rear Light slots straight into the Duncan SL Aero CFT seatpost. It’s USB rechargeable and keeps the post’s aero profile intact. Plus, its COB LED has three modes: steady, day and night. It puts out 20 lumens, so you stay visible in all conditions.
Dropped Seatstays
Every Foil RC has dropped seatstays. They add comfort and, crucially for an aero bike, cut air resistance too. They angle in at 10 degrees, so they push passing air into the spinning spokes. In Scott’s aero testing, this small detail gave significant gains as the bike moves forward. Also, the dropped stays hide the disc brake callipers. That cuts drag further and gives the bike a cleaner look.
Oversized Head Tube
The Foil RC has an oversized head tube. First, it allows fully integrated cabling for both mechanical and electronic shifting. More importantly, it works as a fairing for the bike. So it splits the oncoming air and cuts drag as you power forward.
Lightweight Design
Scott’s engineers tested over 300 designs. As a result, they found a better carbon lay-up that uses 30% fewer carbon pieces and joints than the previous Foil. They also refined small details like the seatstays and seat clamp. So the team cut weight without giving up stiffness.
