Start with the frame. It is Fastlane Road Disc HMX carbon with Scott’s ride geometry and the Syncros Cable Integration System. The fork is HMX flatmount disc with a 27.2mm eccentric carbon steerer. As a result the Fastlane rides like a normal road bike when the motor is off.The motor is the TQ HPR40. It gives 40Nm of torque from a 290Wh internal battery, and it cuts out at 25km/h. What makes it different is how little it announces itself. There is no display on the bar. Instead you get a discreet TQ bar-end display with Bluetooth and ANT+, and a dedicated smartphone app. So people see a carbon road bike, not an e-bike.The build runs Shimano 105 Di2 throughout. That is a 24-speed electronic drivetrain with hydraulic disc brakes on 160mm rotors, an FSA e-bike alloy crankset with a 50/34T chainring, and an 11-34 cassette. Wheels are Syncros Capital 1.0 40 Disc on Schwalbe Pro One 700x34C tyres. Syncros handles the cockpit, seatpost and saddle. The frame carries a UDH interface and is range extender ready. So you can add a TQ 160Wh extender for longer days. It comes in XS, S, M, L and XL, in Cream Green. If you would rather have the assistance off-road, look at the Scott Solace Gravel instead.Want to ride one?
