The Scott Fastlane 20 (2027) in Cream Green is a fast e-road bike that does not look like one. It suits riders who want to hold the wheel on the bunch ride, or flatten a hilly commute. So the motor sits inside the bottom bracket and the battery inside the downtube. Plus the Scott Fastlane 20 weighs 11.1kg, which is light enough to carry up a flight of stairs.

No Screen on the Bar
This is the point of the Fastlane 20. There is no display clamped to the stem and no switch pod on the bars. Instead the controls sit on the hoods and a small LED readout tucks into the end of the drops. So from three metres away it reads as a carbon road bike. That matters more than it should, and anyone who has ridden an obvious e-bike in a bunch will know why.
TQ HPR40, Quietly
The TQ HPR40 gives 40Nm from a unit small enough to hide in the bottom bracket shell. It is one of the quietest systems on the market. Also it hands the bike back smoothly at 25km/h rather than dragging, so you can ride above the cut-off without fighting it. The 290Wh battery charges in about three hours.
Shimano 105 Di2
Shifting is Shimano 105 Di2 throughout, 24 speed and electronic, with hydraulic disc brakes on 160mm rotors. A 50/34T FSA e-bike alloy crank pairs with an 11-34 cassette. So the gearing is road-bike normal, which keeps the bike useful when the battery runs flat and you ride it home unassisted.
34C Now, 38mm If You Want
It ships on Schwalbe Pro One 700x34C tyres, which is already wider than most road bikes ran a few years ago. Clearance goes to 38mm. So there is room to fit something more forgiving for rough roads or a gravel path shortcut without touching the frame.
Carbon Frame, UDH Rear End
The frame is Fastlane Road Disc HMX carbon with the Syncros Cable Integration System, on an HMX flatmount fork with a 27.2mm eccentric carbon steerer. Then the rear end uses the UDH standard, so your drivetrain options stay open. The frame is also range extender ready if you want a TQ 160Wh pack in the bottle cage.
