The Wilier Elite range is where Wilier puts its fastest road technology. These are the bikes the pros race, built for riders who want every watt to count. At Port Melbourne Cycles, the range is led by the Filante SLR iD2, Wilier’s aero race bike.

What makes a Wilier Elite bike

First, every Elite bike starts with a race-grade carbon frame designed and tested in Bassano del Grappa, Italy. Then Wilier shapes the tubes in the wind tunnel, hides every cable and adds a one-piece cockpit, so less air drags on you and the bike. Even so, the frames stay light. For example, the Filante SLR iD2 frame weighs about 860g in a size M, which is light for an aero bike.

Wilier Filante SLR iD2: the aero race bike

The Wilier Filante SLR iD2 is Wilier’s flagship. Wilier developed it with the Groupama-FDJ team, and it is built to win sprints, breakaways and fast group rides. It pairs deep aero tubes with a fully integrated cockpit. As a result, it is quick on the flat, yet it still climbs well. With wireless shifting, you can also set up the cockpit exactly how you like it.

Aero race bikes have a lower, longer position than endurance bikes. That is why we check your height, flexibility and riding style against the Wilier geometry chart before you buy.
