The Wilier Filante SLR is the aero race bike Wilier’s WorldTour riders raced before the current iD2 model. Port Melbourne Cycles has clearance stock in Melbourne, built with a one-piece carbon Filante Bar, a 45 mm or 50 mm deep carbon wheelset and Shimano 105 Di2 or Ultegra Di2.

Wilier Filante SLR at a glance

  • Filante SLR carbon monocoque frame, 870 g claimed
  • Aero tube shapes developed from NACA airfoils with a softened Kamm tail
  • One-piece Filante Bar carbon cockpit with fully internal cables
  • Shimano 105 Di2 or Ultegra Di2 12-speed, hydraulic disc brakes
  • Velvet Red, Matte Black, Iride Grey and Groupama-FDJ team colours

Why the Wilier Filante SLR stands out

Wilier tuned the Filante SLR for the turbulent air you actually ride in, not just clean wind-tunnel air. As a result, it stays fast in crosswinds and in a bunch. The fork blades also sit wider than on the Cento10 PRO, which moves them away from the wheel and cuts turbulence.

In addition, the frame shares its carbon with the Wilier 0 SLR climbing bike. Wilier says stiffness-to-weight is up 12.5% over the previous Filante, so it steers precisely and feels planted at speed.

Sizing and geometry

The Filante SLR uses a long, low race fit. For example, a size M has 388 mm of reach, 538 mm of stack and a 72.5Β° head angle, while a size L has 391 mm of reach and 555 mm of stack. Sizes run from XS to XXL, although this clearance stock only covers XS to XL. Not sure of your size? Every bike we sell includes a free bike fit, so we can match you to the right frame.

Where it fits in the Wilier range

The Filante SLR sits just below the current Filante SLR iD2 in Wilier’s aero line. Meanwhile, the Filante SL uses the same shape in a more affordable carbon. If you climb more than you sprint, the Zero SLR and Zero SL are the lightweight options. You can also browse all Wilier bikes, Wilier gravel bikes and Wilier triathlon bikes.

Clearance builds and pricing

These bikes come from Wilier’s Australian distributor in limited colours and sizes. You can choose Shimano Di2 in either 105 or Ultegra form. Both give you 12-speed electronic shifting and hydraulic disc brakes, so the choice mostly comes down to weight and budget. Once a size sells, it is gone.

Wilier Filante SLR FAQs

Is the Filante SLR the same as the Filante SLR iD2?

No. The iD2 is the newer version, with a reshaped frame and the F-Bar iD2 cockpit. The Filante SLR is the previous model, which is why it is now on clearance.

What wheels come on these Filante SLR builds?

Every build comes with a carbon wheelset, either 45 mm or 50 mm deep, plus a one-piece carbon handlebar.

Can you ship a Filante SLR?

Due to our dealer agreement we can only sell Wilier bikes for collection, so please contact us to arrange a fitting and pickup.
