Filante SLR iD2

The Wilier Filante SLR iD2 is Wilier’s flagship aero road bike. Wilier developed it with the Groupama-FDJ team to be fast on the flat, sharp in the sprint and still light on the climbs. At Port Melbourne Cycles you can see it in person, get sized and ride away with it set up to fit.

Aero speed without the weight

Wilier shaped the Filante’s tubes in the wind tunnel and hid every cable inside the frame and cockpit. As a result, less air drags on the bike at race speed. Even so, the frame weighs only about 860g in a size M. So unlike many aero bikes, the Filante SLR iD2 still feels lively when the road tilts up.

Integrated cockpit and clean lines

The one-piece bar and stem keeps the front of the bike clean and stiff. With wireless shifting, you can also move shifters and set up the cockpit exactly how you like it. In short, it looks as fast as it rides.

Who the Wilier Filante SLR iD2 suits

• Road racers and crit riders who want a bike proven in the pro peloton.
• Fast group riders on Beach Road and the Dandenongs who want free speed.
• Riders who want one top-level bike for flat days and hilly days.

However, if you want more tyre clearance for rough roads, look at the Wilier Rave SLR iD2. For time trials, see the Wilier Turbine SL.

Sizing and fit

The Filante has a race position, so fit matters. We check your height, flexibility and riding style against the Wilier geometry chart before you buy. Then we set your saddle height, reach and cleats when you collect it. You can also compare the whole Wilier Elite range or read more on Wilier’s website.
