The X-LAB AD7 is a full-carbon aero road bike that brings race-level technology to a far more accessible price. Built by XDS under the X-LAB name, it pairs a UDH-compatible carbon aero frame and fork with an integrated Branta carbon cockpit, deep Branta C45 SL carbon wheels and Shimano 105 Di2 electronic shifting. As a result, riders stepping up to their first serious race bike get the same aero ideas found on far more expensive race bikes.

Why the X-LAB AD7 Stands Out

Most bikes at this price give you either carbon wheels or electronic shifting. The AD7, however, gives you both. On top of that, it adds a power meter, which is usually a separate purchase costing several hundred dollars. As a result, you can train with real power data from your very first ride.

In terms of design, the frame uses aero-shaped carbon tubes and fully internal cable routing, so the front end stays clean and fast. Meanwhile, the UDH (Universal Derailleur Hanger) standard makes a replacement hanger easy to find anywhere in the world. Wide 30mm tyres also add grip and comfort on rough Melbourne roads without costing you speed.

X-LAB AD7 Sizing and Geometry

The AD7 comes in five sizes. As a guide, the XS suits riders from about 148cm, while the XL suits riders up to about 191cm. Stack runs from 510mm to 580mm and reach from 368mm to 405mm across the range. In addition, the bar width, stem length and crank length all scale with frame size, so smaller riders are not stuck with oversized parts.

For reference, every AD7 listing includes the full geometry chart. If you are between sizes, contact our team and we will help you choose.

How the AD7 Fits in the X-LAB Range

In short, the AD7 is the entry point to X-LAB’s aero road family. For a higher-spec aero bike, step up to the X-LAB AD8 or the race-proven X-LAB AD9. Prefer a lightweight all-rounder? The X-LAB RS7 is a great climbing option. For mixed surfaces, the X-LAB GT8 is built for gravel. You can also browse every model in our X-LAB Bikes range, or build your own from an X-LAB frameset.
