Scott moulds the whole front triangle in one piece. So the frame ends up with only three sections bonded together, not a dozen. Fewer junctions means less material and less weight. Plus the stiffness stays where you want it, under the bottom bracket and the head tube.
A small hatch under the downtube cover opens straight into the frame. So a mechanic can route or replace a cable without pulling the bottom bracket out. It sounds minor until the first time you need it.
The dropouts are hollow, so the axle head clamps against the inner face and finishes flush with the outside. That saves 7.5 grams on its own. It also lets Scott build a narrower rear end, which keeps the back of the bike looking as clean as the front.
There is no suspension here, and that is the point. The rigid HMF carbon fork keeps the weight down and the steering direct. So every watt goes into the ground rather than into a bobbing shock.
Both wheels run 29×2.4in rubber, tubeless ready out of the box. So you can drop the pressure and let the tyre do the damping. Plus the extra volume turns rough fire road into something you can carry speed across.

Monocoque Construction
The Scale carbon main frame is moulded as one piece rather than bonded together from separate tubes. So the whole front triangle comes out of a single mould, leaving only three sections joined across the entire frame. Fewer junctions means less weight and fewer places for stiffness to leak away. Because the front end behaves as one structure, pedalling and braking loads spread through the frame as a whole instead of stacking up at the joints.
Service Door
A small service door sits under a cover on the downtube and opens straight into the frame interior. So rerouting a cable or chasing a rattle does not mean pulling the bottom bracket out first. It is a minor detail on paper, but it saves real workshop time over the life of the bike.
Hollow Dropout Construction
The dropouts are built hollow, so the axle head clamps against the inner face and finishes flush with the outside surface. That alone takes 7.5g out of the frame. Plus the narrower dropout lets the whole rear triangle be slimmed down, saving another 20g without giving up stiffness.

We also offer a free follow up service and highly recommend this is done within the first 6 months or the 500-1000km mark. This is the most important service a bike can get, with it getting the full treatment to ensure everything has bedded in well, ensuring your ride is maintained and performing at it's optimum level. Our service goes over and above the normal adjustments required with any issue arising being rectified free of charge unless due to normal wear and tear.
