The Garmin Varia RearVue 820 warns you about cars coming up behind you, up to 175 metres away. Its radar has a wider field of view than earlier Varia models, so alerts are more reliable on busy roads and bends.
It also shows the size of each vehicle and when one changes lanes, on your Edge or the Varia app. Plus, the tail light is visible from up to 2 km away, and a brake light flashes when you slow down. Battery life runs to 24 hours in day flash mode.
