The Scott Addict Gravel 2027 is a complete rethink of Scott’s carbon gravel bike, and the Addict Gravel 10 in Blaze Purple is the pick of the range for most riders. It gets the same featherweight HMX carbon frame as the top Premium model, wireless SRAM Force XPLR AXS with a power meter, and carbon wheels. In Australia it’s $9,649, built and fitted by us at Port Melbourne Cycles.

Is the Scott Addict Gravel 2027 a new frame?
Yes. This isn’t a paint refresh. Scott redesigned the frame, fork, geometry and cockpit for the 2027 model year. So the bike moves away from pure race gravel and towards long, rough, all-day rides. However, it stays light and quick, and it keeps the riding position of Scott’s Addict road bike.
- Much bigger tyre clearance. It now takes tyres up to 57 mm, and even 2.2-inch mountain bike tyres. It ships on fast 50 mm Schwalbes.
- Lighter frame. Scott claims 794 g for the HMX frame, 75 g lighter than before.
- More comfort, built into the carbon. Scott says the rear flexes up to 60% more than the old frame, and the front around 30% more. There are no pivots or elastomers to service.
- Calmer geometry. Stack and reach both grow by 10 mm, with a 10 mm shorter cockpit, a lower bottom bracket and a longer fork offset. As a result, the bike feels steadier at speed.
- Short, nimble back end. Despite the big clearance, the chainstays stay at 425 mm in every size.

What the Addict Gravel 10 does well
Wide tyres without a lazy feel
Big tyres are the simplest suspension there is. So Scott made the chainstay remarkably thin, just 8.5 mm at its narrowest point, to fit 57 mm rubber while keeping the rear end short. Meanwhile the bike is tuned around 50 mm tyres and up. That means you can ride well past smooth gravel and still feel quick on the road home.

Comfort for the long days
Scott deliberately made the frame slightly less stiff, by under 5%. That sounds odd, but it helps the tyres stay in contact on loose ground. Plus the slim seat tube, low seat stays and curved fork legs all flex in a controlled way. As a result, you finish a long day fresher.
A cockpit made for gravel
The new Syncros bar sweeps forward to give your wrists more room in corners. Also, the flare only starts below the levers, so the levers sit straight rather than tipping outwards. The drops have a bigger palm area, which makes the brakes easier to reach on rough descents.

Tools and storage on board
Flats happen, so the down tube hides the Syncros Save-the-Day kit: a tube, tyre levers and a mini pump, packed so it doesn’t rattle. The bar ends hold a T25 key and a tubeless plug kit. And that one T25 fits the stem, bars, seatpost, saddle and bottle cages. There’s also a removable top tube bag, with bolts that sit flush when you take it off.

Water on the fork, done properly
The fork has bottle mounts on the inside of the legs, not the outside. Scott claims this cuts steering inertia by 35% compared with outside mounts. So a loaded bike still steers cleanly, and you free up the main triangle for a bigger frame bag.
Why the Addict Gravel 10 is the sweet spot
The Addict Gravel 10 shares its HMX frame and one-piece carbon cockpit with the top Premium model. The difference is SRAM Force instead of SRAM Red, and Fulcrum Soniq wheels instead of Sharq. So you get the lightest frame Scott makes, wireless shifting and a power meter, for about $3,750 less than the Premium.
- Want the lightest frame and a power meter? The Addict Gravel 10 is the one.
- Want the very top build? Look at the Addict Gravel Premium in Watery Green with SRAM Red.
- Happy with the HMF frame to save money? The Addict Gravel 20 keeps SRAM Force and carbon wheels.
- Like the purple but on a tighter budget? The Addict Gravel 30 in Mulberry Purple runs SRAM Rival.

Who the Addict Gravel 10 is for
It suits road riders who want to head off the bitumen without giving up a fast, familiar position. Because it takes huge tyres and carries tools, water and a frame bag, it also works for light bikepacking and long mixed-surface loops. However, if you only race short, smooth gravel events, a firmer race bike may suit you better.

Around Melbourne, think the Dandenongs fire trails, the You Yangs, or rail trails out to the Macedon Ranges, then a smooth spin home along Beach Road.
