Description
Zuatu Z001-Pro Shoes – the race shoe the pros made famous
The Zuatu Z001-Pro shoes are the model that put Zuatu on WorldTour feet. Each shoe weighs 213 g in a size 42, and under 200 g without the insole. So you get a proper pro-level race shoe for well under a thousand dollars.
Zuatu developed the Z001-Pro with Slovenian champions, and it has since been raced at the Tour de France and the Giro d’Italia. Also, the boat-shaped carbon sole wraps up the sides of your foot. As a result, your foot stays planted when you sprint or climb out of the saddle.
Key features
- Boat-shaped 3K and UD carbon sole with a gold-thread finish, for direct power transfer
- Ultra-thin microfibre upper with a soft suede microfibre lining
- Heat-mouldable upper and insole, so the shoe can be shaped to your foot
- Two dual-direction dials that loosen or tighten in small steps
- Titanium cleat bolts and a replaceable heel pad
- Lifetime warranty on the dial system

Who are the Zuatu Z001-Pro shoes for?
They suit racers and keen club riders who want a stiff, light shoe that still feels good after four hours. Plus, the White pair comes in three widths, which helps riders with narrow or broad feet. If you want Zuatu’s lightest shoe, step up to the Zuatu Z1-Pro. Then, for a lower price with the same fit system, there is the Zuatu Z001.
Sizing and fit
Zuatu uses EU sizes with half sizes. So measure your foot length in millimetres and check Zuatu’s size chart, or ask us to measure you in the shop. White comes in Standard, Wide and Narrow fits, while Black comes in Standard and Wide. Either way, heat moulding fine-tunes the fit once you have the right size.
What’s in the box
First, choose your colour, fit and size above. You get one pair of shoes with heat-mouldable insoles. Cleats are not in the box, so add a set of Shimano or Look cleats if you need them.
