Princeton Dual 5550 Evolution – one wheelset for road and gravel
The Princeton Dual 5550 Evolution is built for riders who want one fast wheelset that does it all. It pairs a 24 mm wide hooked rim with a deep, variable profile, so it rolls quickly on the road and stays composed on gravel.
Also, Princeton’s patented Radially Staggered Lacing alternates the rim depth between drive and non-drive side spokes. That evens out spoke tension and bracing angles. As a result, the wheel stays stiff and true even on rough roads. Plus, the hole-less tyre bed makes tubeless setup easy.

Who is the Princeton Dual 5550 for?
It suits riders with one bike who ride road during the week and gravel on weekends. It also suits all-road bikes that run 30 to 40 mm tyres. However, if you mostly race gravel, the lighter Grit 4540 might suit you better. Compare both in our Princeton CarbonWorks wheels range.

You get a front and rear wheel with DT Swiss 240 hubs and your chosen freehub, tubeless valves and two padded wheel bags.
How to choose your hub and freehub
First, pick the decals that suit your bike. Then choose the freehub that matches your groupset. Shimano HG suits Shimano 11 and 12-speed road groupsets. SRAM XDR suits SRAM AXS road groupsets. Not sure which you have? Just ask us, because we check this on every wheel order.
