Description

SIS Beta Fuel Gel – big carbs for long days

The SIS Beta Fuel Gel packs 40 grams of carbohydrate into one 60ml gel. That is close to double a standard energy gel. So it suits long rides and races where you need 80 to 120 grams of carbs every hour.

SIS mixes maltodextrin and fructose in a 1:0.8 ratio. Because the two sugars use different pathways, your gut can absorb more carbs per hour with less bloating. Also, the gel is thin enough to take without a big swig of water.

Key features

  • 40g of dual-source carbohydrate per gel
  • 1:0.8 maltodextrin to fructose ratio, easier on the stomach
  • Built for efforts longer than two hours
  • Orange, Strawberry & Lime or Neutral (no added flavour)
  • Choose a 6 pack to try it or a 30 pack for the season

SIS Beta Fuel Gel

Who is the SIS Beta Fuel Gel for?

It suits riders doing long gran fondos, Around the Bay style days, crit racing and big training blocks. So if a regular gel leaves you running short late in the ride, this is the step up. Also, it pairs well with the Beta Fuel drink and Beta Fuel chews, so you can hit your hourly target from three sources. For a mental lift late in the race, look at the Beta Fuel + Nootropics gel.

What’s in the box

Pick your pack size and flavour above. The 6 pack holds six 60ml gels, and the 30 pack holds thirty. Then each gel is one serve.

A quick fuelling tip

Always test new nutrition in training before race day. So plan your carbs, fluid and salts per hour, then build that plan from drinks, gels and chews. Also, keep a note of what worked on each ride. Then on longer rides, set a reminder on your bike computer to eat and drink every 20 minutes. Because hunger shows up late, fuelling early keeps your energy steady to the finish.
