Description
Princeton Wake 6560 Evolution II – Princeton’s flagship road race wheel
The Princeton Wake 6560 Evolution II is the most aerodynamically efficient road race wheel that Princeton CarbonWorks makes. Its 60 to 65 mm wave rim is faster than deeper wheels, yet it is lighter and handles better than many shallower ones.
Also, Evolution II brings a new carbon layup. Rim weight drops from 470 g to 420 g, so the whole wheelset is about 10% lighter than before. Plus, it still keeps tough, easy-to-service steel spokes. As a result, the lightest build weighs just 1,250 g.
Key features
- Variable 60–65 mm wave-profile rim for top-end speed with stable handling
- 22 mm internal, 33 mm external, designed around a 28 mm tyre
- Hooked, non-drilled tyre bed, so no tubeless tape is needed
- Pre-balanced rims to cut vibration at speed
- Exceeds 120 J impact testing
- Tubeless valves and padded wheel bags included

Who is the Princeton Wake 6560 for?
It suits racers, crit riders and anyone who spends long days at speed on flat or rolling roads, such as Beach Road. Because the rim stays stable in crosswinds, it also works well for bigger riders and windy days. However, if you climb a lot, look at the lighter Peak 4550 in our Princeton CarbonWorks wheels range.
What’s in the box
You get a front and rear wheel with your chosen hub and freehub, tubeless valves and two padded wheel bags. The price does not include tyres, rotors or a cassette.
How to choose your hub and freehub
First, pick the decals that suit your bike. Then choose the freehub that matches your groupset. Shimano HG suits Shimano 11 and 12-speed road groupsets. SRAM XDR suits SRAM AXS road groupsets. Not sure which you have? Just ask us, because we check this on every wheel order.
